Murray is leading Federer 6-4 in their head-to-heads
Yeah, but the one time they've met in Grand Slams, Federer walloped him. Bit different this time, Murray has had a pretty relaxed time getting through to the final, so he will be fresh. Federer hasn't been pushed too hard either (assuming he beats Tsonga, of course), but they've both had a slight challenge in losing the first set - Murray lost his first today to Cilic, Federer lost his first set 6-2 to Davydenko.

I think Murray has a good chance, although Federer has to be favourite, he has so much experience of grand slam finals.

Of course, if Tsonga wins tomorrow morning then I'm sure Murray will be all too happy to change his game plan.

I think Murray will take heart from the fact that Federer lost to Del Potro in the US Open final.

Murray v Federer in the final on Sunday after the Swiss master demolished Tsonga inside an hour and a hour. As much as Roger played well, the Frenchman was pants, at times struggling to hit the ball over the net. And that doesn't help laugh.gif

Aye, it should be a super final.

Also good luck to Laura Robson in the girls final tomorrow, she plays the unseeded Czech Karolina Pliskova.

That break seems to have fired Murray up a bit. He needs to be fired up as well, Federer has been awesome so far.

Be interesting if Murray manages to win this set. I think Federer will step up a gear again, but you never know. Whenever he loses a grand slam final, it always seems to be a 5-setter...

Well, Murray had more than enough chances to win the third set but couldn't take them. A break up and serving for the match and then he broke Fed early in the tie-break.

It wasn't to be. Fed wins again....i guess Murray is a scot after all biggrin.gif

unlucky, I had to when it was 3-3 in the first set and murray looked on top, but I always expected Fed to step it up, I'm glad federer has proved the people wrong who said he would never win a grand slam again, and now I can support murray in wimbledon!

oh dear, oh dear , oh dear....
to show how bad we are we now face a playoff against turkey (who lost to ireland?!!?) to stop us from going into the fourth and lowest tier of davis cup tennis. don't understand why jamie murray doesn't make the doubles team anymore though, he's alot better than these current jokers.
