HT 1-0 to Chelski
Despite being outclassed, Preston are giving a good account of themselves.
They're certainly not overawed and with their hard tackling and counter-attacks are giving the Londoners some trouble.

FT 2-0
When Chelsea got another early in the 2nd half, one thought that maybe the flood gates were going to open.
But Preston kept their heads and even had Chelsea on the back foot for the last 15 minutes, missing two or three half chances.

Everton are playing and Villa, and other prem clubs and then there is the romance of the Cup - Notts County currently beating Wigan 2-0. I can't see why Talk Shite doesn't do this afternoon's show from the studio with constant updates and reports from all the matches. Instead, we get the Mancs who went one nil up after only seven minutes so no shock on the cards there.
Anyway, I just switched to another channel but if anyone hears Talk Shite complaining about the cup losing its sparkle, ring the daft feckers up and complain about the above

It was messy and totally needless, yes he managed to get the ball, but only after going through Beckford's legs first, no excuse whatsoever
Fair play to Leeds though, played their part in a cracking game and fully deserve their replay
As for Beckford, impressive again today, £3million for him could be a real bargain if we knew he was'nt available for nowt in the summer

Fucking ridiculous decision.
You can say it was a risky challenge but that doesnt matter if you get the ball like he did.
There was an almost identical one with less contact on the ball on Defoe in the 1st half that he didnt give.
Usual ref on TV syndrome giving a dramatic decision to get some column inches.

Dammit, well at least they have played 120 minutes. You might look at that and think that at least West Brom are beatable at home, but to be honest it looks like Reading have pulled a freak result out of the hat. I doubt the result has any bearing on West Brom's remaining fixtures. Hope I'm wrong.

On another note, congratulations on Newcastle's kids for reaching the FA Youth Cup semi-finals.
In the semi's we've been drawn against Fulham or Aston Villa with the 2nd leg at SJP, int he other semi, Chelsea will face either Blackburn or Everton.
Well done to them. Phil Airey scored again I see. He sounds like he could do well in the future.
Aye, no doubt he will do well sat on our bench watching shit getting picked ahead of him like most of our prospects do
Great result for them tonight like

Finished 4-2
2 goals for Samuel Adeji (he's Swedish, Miss C will like that) one for Phil Airey who's having a brilliant season so far and also a goal for Shola's younger brother Sammy.

We sold him to Leeds where he was farmed oot on loan a lot. He now plays for Forest Green in the Blue Square Premier
