So Rovers play Everton in the first game of the season.
It's worrying times at Goodison Park: no new signings, no new contract for Moyes, no new stadium and half their first team out injured.
So this is definitately the time to be playing them - kick 'em while they're down (metaphorically that is).
Rovers players will come into this match eager to show what they can do under their dynamic new manager, especially after all the grief they've had in the press recently.

Three easy points!

Big Brad's certainly going to be a hard act to follow.
Now every time Robbo concedes the fans will be thinking Friedel would never have let that in!

So this week it's Hull City.
Many are saying that Hull are certain for the drop, but how can that be?
After all didn't they just beat the mighty Fulham, and at 5th in the table are pushing for a CL place!
This will definately be a tough game for the Rovers, especially with expectations raised after last week's win at Goodison Park.
Tough yes, but so was the Everton game, so I think we might just shade it by the odd goal.
Either that or we'll give 'em a proper thumping and send them back to Hull with their tails between their legs!

Three easy points coming up! milky.gif

West Ham on Saturday!
Upton Park has been a difficult place for the Rovers in recent years, but now we find a club in crisis with a manager who is favourate to win the Sack Race.
They got a result midweek against the Mighty Macclesfield, but still went off to boos from their own fans.
Compare all this with the atmosphere in the Rover's camp - great new manager, squad of players who actually want to be there and a wonderful new signing in Villanueva.
Unbeaten, with 8 goals in three games, Rovers are on a roll.
I can't really see how we can lose this game and with our Chilean wizard is making his Premiership debut there's every chance we'll give them a drubbing and seal Curbishley's fate.

Paul Ince endured a miserable return to former club West Ham as his Blackburn Rovers side were beaten 4-1 at Upton Park.

Just as well you had Robbo in goal it could have been more biggrin.gif

So Rovers take on North London Juniors on Saturday.
It's well known that M. Wenger doesn't relish visiting the North West and with good reason!
He knows that his pretty-boy team will be given a stern test and all the parlez-vous and black silk gloves won't impress the cloth-caps at Ewood Park.
The Arsenal squad is so young that the coaching staff have been taking lessons in nappy-changing.
They're the only club that employs its own wet-nurse!
They're a talented side it's true, but Blackburn have the fire-power to match them.
Men against boys - 3 easy points for Rovers!
yahoo.gif

PS Will this be one of those rare occasions when the crowd at Ewood Park exceeds that at SJP?
Copy Nooker
So Rovers take on the Mighty Fulham this week.
What do Fulham and Newcastle have in common? They've both lost to Hull City this season!
The difference being that Fulham were unlucky to be playing them on their home turf in the first game of the season - always a tough tie against a newly-promoted side.
After that blip the Cottagers have chalked up wins against Arsenal(!) and Bolton so it looks as though Roy Hodgson is turning them from a joke team (another thing they had in common with Newcastle) into a force to be reckoned with.
What does this mean for the Rovers' prospects in this match?
After the last two games some are saying that Ince is crap (maybe that's why he's been linked to the Toon), but those scorelines don't tell the whole story - they were very unlucky against West Ham, and in fact played quite well against the Arse.
So I'm not worried about the Rovers' form or Ince's skill as a manager - in fact I reckon this will be the match in which it all comes together and, given Fulham's traditional dreadful away form, they'll grab a bagful and put Roy's boys back in their place!

Three easy points! milky.gif

I would expect three easy points at the home of the unsettled ones tomorrow, girlfight.gif ,but hang on a sec they now have Joe Kinnear blink.gif and Dennis Wise doh.gif maybe i have been a bit hasty here... biggrin.gif but again maybe not,,,,,,,,, yahoo.gif
Copy Nooker
Thanks Blue for stepping in last week - I was having an autumn break in Prague. wacko.gif
Yes it was three easy points - SJP has become a happy hunting ground for Rovers!
Copy Nooker
So Rovers are privileged to host the Champions of England and Europe on Saturday.
This is a good time to be playing Manure - they've just had their CL game in midweek and lost couple a key players to injury.
But probably more important than this was last week's game against Bolton!
Rob Styles' gift of a penalty to Ronaldo was so atrocious that, for a while at least, refs will be sure to compensate by refusing to point to the spot in 50-50 cases.
This will surely benefit their opponents.
And what about the Rovers? Well they're on a roll at the moment with three wins in a row and will come into this game with their tails up.
But can they win? Of course they can!
In last year's game we had them on the ropes and Tevez's equalizer was probably the most important goal of the season for them.
Our main worry is that Fergie will use this match as a scouting opportunity to eye our players so he can poach them next season!

Three easy points! whip.gif
Roverblue
Man U do seem to get the rub of the green when they play us,this even happens at Ewood never mind OT so i would plump for a draw of some kind here, although as you say it is a very good time to play them, but that vodoo does bother me,

So here's wishing for 3 easy points.. icon_rolleyes.gif
Copy Nooker
Oh well, Rovers weren't bad but were simply outplayed by the European Champions.
Jason Brown had an excellent game in goal, making some great saves and getting the better of Rooney in a one-on-one - do we really need Paul Robinson?
In Premiership terms, Blackburn are not a bad side (we did get a draw against Hull!), but this game just serves to highlight the difference in class between the Big 4 teams and the rest - look how Chelsea brushed aside Martin O'Neill's Young Pretenders.
Onwards and upwards!
Copy Nooker
So Rovers travel the short distance down to the Breezeblock to play local rivals Bowton.
The Wanderers had a good result in their last game, winning at Upton Park which I was very pleased to see - we certainly don't want Bolton to be relegated!
Looking at their results this season I notice that they have in fact played more or less the same teams as we have!
The 3 points that seperate us are due to Rovers winning at Newcastle and Bolton losing.
So on the basis that any team which loses to Newcastle must be crap, I venture to predict that Rovers will have no problems in this game and pick up Three Easy Points!

So some relief for Boro supporters this weekend when they get to breath the fresh, clean East Lancashire air at Ewood Park.
How will this match go?
Last week Boro got hammered by Chelski with a performance described as 'lethargic, insipid and shambolic'.
Meanwhile Rovers played out a bore draw with Bolton in a match described as an 'inept and passionless display of mind-numbing mediocrity'.
So hardly Match Of The Day material it seems!
On the other hand these performances could be just the wake-up call that both of these teams needed to raise their game and I'm sure that Ince will have taken notice.
With competition in the Rovers squad so great, slackers won't be able to hold their place in the starting line-up, so the Rovers players at least will be up for it in this game!
After a decent start to the season, Boro have lost 4 of their last 5 games and look as though they're on a slide.
Add to this the fact that Rovers have won their last 5 games against them, it seems they have the measure of the Teessiders.
Three easy points to Rovers! milky.gif

Midweek game against Aston Villa!
There's no doubt that Martin O'Neill has molded Villa into a formidable outfit capable of beating anybody, but they can also lose as well - to Stoke, in the Prem and QPR in the Carling Cup.
Blackburn have been playing well but have been unlucky in front of goal.
It's all going to come together soon and this could be the game!
One thing that will fire up the Rovers players will be facing Brad Friedel in goal - they'll be itching to put one or two past Big Brad!

Not too sure on this one either copy,i watched the Albion against Hull last week and TBH they were what you call conned, they made all the game but Hull did catch them on the break for there first goal after that they went further behind chasing the game, had they took there chances in the first half they would have beat Hull(whose game is simular to Allerdices Bowton) easy imo,so as long as they dont find there shooting boots early doors yes i think we are in with a good shout, but simce we have lost Bentley are play is awfully narrow and that aint no good for Santa, the jury is still out on Ince for me..

After our routine win at the Stadium Of Light in midweek it would be natural to assume that we really would get 3 easy points this week.
This would be a mistake!
Roy Keane's team will be hurting and glad of the opportunity for quick revenge, so Rovers will have to be at the top of their game to get a result.
However with Samba and Santa Cruz back to fitness and Sunderland's dismal away record, a Blackburn win is in the air.
So let's not be shy - shout it out: 3 EASY POINTS!!!

On Sunday Rovers make the pilgrimage to White Hart Lane, home of the greatest football club in the history of the Universe!
Mr Redknapp has certainly done a job with the Spuds since taking over - they were crap under Ramos (but still managed to beat the Toon!), and now are a force to be reckoned with.
Can Rovers succeed where the Mighty Liverpool failed - twice? Well yes they can!
Confidence must be low at Ewood Park after a series of below-par performances and press rumours about Santa Cruz wanting out, but if there's anybody who can motivate the team it must be Paul Ince!

For those punters waiting for my take on the next Rovers match I apologise for the lateness of this post.
So Rovers play Portsmouth, also known as Pompey, in their next match.
Now let's get serious here - BLACKBURN ARE NOT GOING TO LOSE THIS MATCH.
After what he did at Fratton Park and now at Tottenham, Harry Redknapp must be acknowledge as a great manager, but Tony Adams, however much we all admire him as a player, is a mere novice in the management game.
Paul Ince has proved his credentials.
Yes, Rovers are next to bottom, but so what! Look at the points - just half a dozen between relegation and European qualification.
Let's face it, there's very little to choose between any of the teams below the top five, so any result is possible - it all depends on whose the more hungry.
Given the Rovers' position it's obvious that they will have the most to play for - so....
Three easy points!!! milky.gif

Here's a riddle - which premiership team rhymes with 'joke'?
Wrong!!
The answer is Newcastle. bbc laugh.gif
Ok let's get serious.
Blackburn play host to Stoke City on Saturday.
What to make of Stoke? They were designated relegation fodder at the start of the season, but are actually sitting pretty in mid-table.
With Rovers struggling, one would think that this would be an easy game for Stoke, but things are not so clear.
Stoke are really crap away from home - they could only come away from St James Park with one point for christ sake!
But, you might say, Rovers are really crap at home! This is true, so it would seem that the result of the match is in the balance.
But it certainly is not!!
Blackburn are priviliged to have just signed one of the greatest managers in history of football!!!!
Mr Sam Allardyce has been at Rovers for three days. This is more than enough time for a coach of his calibre to mold a formidable fighting force out of Paul Ince's underperforming squad.
So actually this will be rather an easy game for Blackburn - if you don't believe me check out the betting odds: Blue Square are offering 17/20 on Rovers, 7/2 against Stoke - so there!
Taking all this into consideration I can confidently predict: THREE EASY POINTS!!!
