What are your thoughts on the newest edition? Found any gems that you'd care to share? I've found it much harder than last years edition for some reason, but its still stupidly addictive!

Davide Santon- RB, 17 at the start of the game and highly rated. Costs about 5 million.

Aleksandar Kolarov- LB, 22 at the start of the game also highly rated, cost about 9 million.

Darren Bent Traded him for Michael Owen in my first season and he scored 22 goals in 34 league games.

And Valencia from Wigan. He was one of my best players in my first season.

Can get 2 young good quality full backs from Real Madrid at the start - Marcelo (LB) for £4.4m and Miguel Torres (RB&LB) for £2m they are both tranfer listed at start. This enabled me to sell Beye to Man City for £6.5m not bad as he is getting on a bit.

Decided to give myself a bit of a challenge and started a game with leeds

Currently top of the league (cc League 1) in the middle of January, unbeaten in the league and beat the mackems in the league cup

Looking good odds for promotion to the championship, anyone know any good players to sign for that league?

Issiar Dia (20 year old AM R/Lfrom A.S Nancy), Beye recommended him, cost £525k and was runner up for signing of the season, now in the second season and he is worth £5.25m. I was able to let Duff go to Everton for £3.5m and he was runner up in the worst signing of the season .

newcastle were shocking for me, I just couldn't get my head round them... so i resigned at the beginning of january.. and got offered the job at darlington! Got them promoted in that season, now sitting in the promotion spots in league one after becoming newcastle's feeder club, and them very kindly lending me Nile Ranger and Ben Tozer, both who have been fantastic for me!

The game is a bit of a disappointment for me so far tbh.

It was a pain in the hole to install and the game often freezes just before a match is about to start.

That and I'm doing shit with Drogheda United.

Does that with me too, Nav. Did some research on why, and apparently it does that on XP, need Vista to play 09 really, so if you have XP, that'll be the reason.

1st season with Newcastle, i finished 6th, qualified for Europe but got knocked out of both cup competitions in the first rounds (Liverpool away in the FA Cup).

Went on a 20 game unbeaten run in the league though which took me to the end of the season.

I'm playing a strange formation (this may or may not work).

I've been very lucky with injuries, i got Owen to sign a new contract. I sold Smith, Shola, Viduka, Jonas and Taylor.

Bought Palacio and Andersson in my first season, Ronaldo (fat Brazilian), Ashley Young and Sol Campbell at the start of the the 2nd season. 2nd season isnt going quite so well.

it is too slow for me but I have xp, now i've gone and given 08 to my friend. I can't reallt get into this latest one, last year I was addicted and played for hours everyday, this year I go on it once a week, and my team is doing really well aswell.

I found it slow on my pc also but I took off the 3d matches and just have commentry only and that has helped. Canny game with good interaction between players, managers and the media. Better than fm08 in my books

2nd season with my Leeds team, 2nd in the championship signed some good players and I'm looking odds on to get into the premierleague.



Signed two extremely highly rated youngsters, one CM and one GK. Pretty soon I'll be in the PL and top o' the world

Got it for Christmas, but barely played it. Tried starting a season with West Ham, but clicked on West Brom by mistake.

Might just stick with them, think I done a day or two. Yet to play a game.

I've given up on it, freezes too often. Shame.
