And Murray breaks Nadal's first service game after the injury break... 2-0 in the third, and Nadal looks like he's short of pace. Just pulled out of playing a shot, it's not looking good for him.

Murray takes the first set. Playing well too...
Currently 5-1 in the tie-break for the second. Brilliant match.
He's won that next point, so 6-1 to Murray and he has five set points.
This is great tennis.
Murray looks so up for it.
Well, it' like they're saying on the tv Dorty, he looks calm but focused. Whenever Nadal makes a bit of a charge, he doesn't panic, just ups his game too.
Do I take it from the number of saltires on show that Andy Murray is Scottish and not British?

Well, the English can't take a joke and have gone in a sulk, so they aren't gonna cheer for him.

Experts called this years ago. Nadal will never have as long or successful career as some of the greats because of the way he plays will result in too much for his body, despite him being inbelieveably talented. He had his first serious injury of his career last year, hasn't got back to anywhere near his best, and looks like it has come back.

I'm gonna support him until an English player comes along and deposes him as British number one. May have to wait a while though

Three nil up in the third set. Britain's Andy Murray on course for the semi-finals
Only a monumental recovery can save Nadal now.

Nadal throws in the towel. Murray wins by default, which is a bit unfortunate for him - let's not forget that he outplayed Nadal for two sets where Nadal was unaffected by any injury, playing superbly.
There's been a lot said about Nadal's injury problems. He plays with such intensity that it was always a possibility that he'd have recurring injuries. I think we can also ask questions about how early he started playing professional tennis.

Shame it had to end this way, Murray was playing very good tennis.
As for Rafa, he must place so much pressure on his joints the way he twists and turns. I imagine he must have big problems with his knees.

So, Federer comes through in style after a shaky start against Davydenko. Bit difficult to tell whether Federer was brilliant or Davydenko just wilted under the pressure, but whatever the case, Federer is still odds-on favourite for the tournament.
Djokovic currently having a testing first set against Tsonga, looks like an interesting match. It's gone to a tie-break, Djokovic was a break up. Still can't see past Federer from his semi-final though, whether he's playing Djokovic or Tsonga.
Won't be able to see Murray's semi-final, I'm teaching tomorrow morning.

Tsonga takes the first set, tense tie-break ending 10-8. He's playing an interesting style, quite a lot of serve-volleying, and coming into the net fairly often. Aggressive style which seems to be working.

Yeah, but the one time they've met in Grand Slams, Federer walloped him. Bit different this time, Murray has had a pretty relaxed time getting through to the final, so he will be fresh. Federer hasn't been pushed too hard either (assuming he beats Tsonga, of course), but they've both had a slight challenge in losing the first set - Murray lost his first today to Cilic, Federer lost his first set 6-2 to Davydenko.
I think Murray has a good chance, although Federer has to be favourite, he has so much experience of grand slam finals.
Of course, if Tsonga wins tomorrow morning then I'm sure Murray will be all too happy to change his game plan.
