Dont know if the pictures are just deceiving but the McLaren doesn't appear to have the quite high rear wing that the others have surely that cant be right?

Good news about Dennis, he should have went after all the scandal in the 2007 season.

Thats probably the camera angle mate, if it were below the minnimum height, the scrutineers would never allow the car to race.

As for Dennis, you're right, should have gone after that 2007 scandal, his replacement is Martin Whitmarsh, who used to be Mika Hakkinen's race engineer, good choice i reckon.

I suspect that Ron might be quitting while he's ahead. Surely if he thinks that Mclaren will win the F1CHampionship again (I know Ferrari won but Mclaren had the driver), then surely he would have stayed.

Also, watch out for WIlliams this season.

Aye, i always look out for them (well i have to, Frank Williams is South Shields born and bred biggrin.gif )

Most of all though, id watch out for BMW Sauber, i have a funny feeling that Robert Kubica could end up winning the title this year as they've done more testing with the new aero regulations than anyone else so far.

Not looking good for McLaren. Is it really acceptable for a team as big as them not to be ready for the new season, they've had the same length of time to get the car ready as all the other teams. Why the hell bother testing the car with last seasons parts which are no longer able to be used, all the testing that has been available and they have only just got the 2009 rear wing on with less than 3 weeks to spare and little time to test. Interesting that it looks like Brawn GP is even outperforming despite such uncertainty over the teams future.

I am hoping it's just a smokescreen, to let Ferarri think they have the upperhand but worryingly I dont think it is.

I dont think it is a smokescreen mate, if it was, then its a poor attempt to get the opposition to underestimate them. The thing is, during testing, the stopwatch does not lie, both McLaren's drivers have complained about the handling causing both to have sizeable crashes. But still they have huge resources and i think they'll manage tog et round them to finish the season strongly in the end, too late to win a title mind you.

As for a big team not to be ready for the new season, its not as uncommon as people think, Ferrari I know went through similar shit during the 1980's and early 1990's when they made terrible driver choices and let internal politics get the better of them.
