They were all over them in the first half but Bohs have been better in the 2nd half. The Red bull goal could have been prevented though. Shite marking from a corner like.

Fantastic result. I usually can't stand Bohs, but I support every Irish team in Europe. Barry Murphy in goal was class as always. He's as good as most PL keepers. Only conceded 13 goals last season and was class tonight again.
This result is a great advert for Irish soccer, and hopefully Bohs can grab a result in Dalymount Park that will see them through.
The cunts on RTE wouldn't even show it, yet they'd put on some shite Gaelic Football match every Saturday and Sunday.

They'll probably show the 2nd leg knowing that they have a half chance of progressing.

Apart from Linfield
Still though great result, cant understand why RTE would'nt televise it, i mean they did when Drogheda went to Kiev didnt they?

Fantastic result. I usually can't stand Bohs,
but I support every Irish team in Europe. Barry Murphy in goal was class as always. He's as good as most PL keepers. Only conceded 13 goals last season and was class tonight again.

Yeah but that was 2nd round of qualifying. They didn't show our 1st round match against Levadia Tallan.

They would beat Levadia and probably Pyunik Yerevan, but the rest would be too much for them I'd say. But you never know. Drogheda were within an inch of knocking out Dynamo Kiev.
RB Salzburg had 15 internationals in their squad BTW. That puts things in perspective.

Impressive result, pretty soon RTE will be overloaded with demands to show european games live now
Also Motherwell suffered a shock 1-0 defeat in Albania against Flamuntari Vlore, Bangor City (the Welsh cup winners) were beaten 2-0 by Honka Espoo and Falkirk are 0-0 at the moment with FC Vaduz

Well forget the Welsh sides, both Bangor and Rhyl have virtually no chance of going through.
Things though look better for the Irish clubs, Bohemians especially, they have a fantastic chance of making at best the final qualifying round if they hold off Salzburg and Pyunik beat Dinamo Zagreb. Derry should get past Skonto Riga and the St Patricks manager will have given his team an earful enough to go to Malta and beat the living shit out of Valletta to get through, a tie with the Russian league leaders awaits if they succeed whereas if Derry City get through, they'll play one of Bulgaria's top sides.

Bohemians will still have 2 more rounds to go through if they beat Salzburg. It's 4 rounds, but in the 1st round there was only about 4 preliminary games so it's pretty much the same anyway.
Pats had a lot of players missing against Valletta. They should have a few back by next week. And Derry should win against Riga.

Bohemians 0-1 Red Bull Salzburg. FT
Fucking typical from Bohs. Salzburg were absolutely shite but in a typical Irish manner Bohs just showed them respect and stood off them for 90 minutes. Then when they realise that they're actually no better than them, it's too late. A stupid, sloppy goal in the 87th minute is the difference.

History of Irish sport it seems...
