Wiggins is very quietly riding a very good Tour.

Can't wait for the mountains now, it's fecking hard enough to get a car up Alpe D'Huez without it overheating let alone race a bike up it.

The mountain's started today from Barcelona to Andorra via a killer climb up the Pyrenees which includes the first category 1 climb of the tour so far.

Its looking good so far, a group of 9 broke away early and are still well clear with 4km's to go

Aye, he had a great day especially considering the mountains are his weak point, cracking ride, he's moved up into the top 5 now biggrin.gif Oh and Cavendish stays in the Green Jersey too.

One guy that had a shocker, Fabian Cancellara, he's lost the yellow jersey after losing nearly 6 minutes today, the new holder of that is some unknown Italian who made up over 9 minutes on the leaders.

Tomorrow's a big one though, Andorra to Saint Girons, TWO category 1 climbs

Brilliant brilliant win for Mark Cavendish today his 5th of the tour making him the most successful british rider in the race ever, its too late though for him to win the green jersey as he is 25 points behind Thor Hushovd

Also another storming ride from Bradley Wiggins at the front of the main peloton, he is now jsut 15 seconds behind a podium place coming up to tomorrow's 20th stage and the toughest climb of them all, Mont Ventoux huh.gif As for overall, Contador is a cert barring a catastrophe on tomorrows killer climb.

SIX stage wins for Cavendish, but today's was the biggest of them all, winning the final sprint down the Champs-Elysees yahoo.gif

As expected, Contador won overall but Bradley Wiggins is the big hero, despite his weaknesses on the mountains, he finished 4th overall and never once dropped outside the top 6, and he was one of only 3 riders who stayed in the top 10 since day 1 (the other 2 being Contador and Armstrong) Unfortunately for Cavendish though, he just misses out on the Green jersey title by 10 points.
