What's with the name?

no. i had stumbled across the site a while back, but didnt really get the opportunity to post due to work. it was the aa606 then. youve obviously moved and changed name and revamped. i was looking for the old site and was redirected here.

i knew fine well i could vent my spleen....its just seemed a good introductory post

why?

i have a song caled 68 dead, and thinking of a band name is hard, until i realised that i normally found it easy to come up with song names, and so just took one of them.

"68 dead" was included in a review of a Warlocks album - the review saying that they sounded like the '68 Dead (as in Grateful Dead 1968) and the '78 Cramps (as in The Cramps from 1978).

so its not quite as gruesome as it first sounds. i suppose i like the double meaning.

1. ashley - for having the brains, business sense, footballing knowledge, guts and backbone of a slug....dressed in lilywhite. for sacking allardyce in the belief redknapp was hired.

2. keegan - for jumping ship, twice. we may not have felt it too much first time, but second time was unforgivable in my opinion. a weak man.

3. souness - for boumsong and luque. and for losing craig bellamy, and laurent robert.

4. wise - never has there been a more pointless appointment in world football

5. llambias - for being the smug, clueless 'face' of the ashley regime

6. coloccini - for being shit. im of the belief that there is a curse on defenders that join our club - this guy however is just plain shit

7. kinnear - he tried bless him. but out of his depth. increased our laughing stock quotient when it wasnt needed.

8. shepherd - probably should be higher. but he was in charge during the robson era. dealt with sir bob's departure shamefully

9. barton - i wanted it to work. but it didnt

10. owen - he didnt care
