163-3 not a bad score with nearly 40 overs gone, never thought we would could beat sri lanka, but as long as strauss stays in bat we have a great chance

Could be another tight finish this one, England posted an excellent 323-8 but South Africa are there needing 94 from the final 60 balls, Graeme Smith is also still there on 120.
EDIT: Anderson just clean bowled Boucher for 8, SA are 230-5

266-8 now, Jimmy Anderson is on fire
EDIT: 274-9, Smith is finally gone for 141

who'd have thought it, three ODI wins in a row against sri lanka, south africa and australia, england thought to the next round with a game against NZ to spare

Not only that, but because they didnt get enough runs to reach the required run rate, we've just knocked out the hosts AND tournament favourites.
What a turnaround

Prior got injured in the warm-up, dont think we missed him though as Morgan was more than capable

Wednesday morning, watching Pakistan v Australia
Pakistan currently 69-1 from 15 overs.
I wonder if the Aussies would dare to have the same number as slips as the one in this picture from the 1970s? (Bowler was Dennis Lillie)
Actually, Lillie was a wonderful fast bowler but after having nine slips in place, judging by wicketkeeper Rodney Marsh's movement to the left, the ball may have been going down the leg side. I guess all legends are allowed one mistake like

I wonder what odds pre-tournament on both New Zealand and England making it through............
Both South Africa and Sri Lanka were heavy tournament favourites.
As were India really who are also gone........

ICC Champions Trophy Final, Oct 5, 2009, New Zealand v Australia.
New Zealand won the toss and decided to bat and are currently 94 for 5 from 27 overs
Gotta say I am gutted, the Aussies are gonna win this big, shiny trophy and all we won this summer was some little urn

New Zealand limped to 200-9 after 50 overs.
I fully expect the Aussies to get there with eight wickets and at least ten overs remaining.

Aussies 42-2 after 17 and New Zealand's wickie Brendan McCullum crucially drops a skied shot from Cameron White
That could prove so costly for NZ.

Aussies win it by 6 wickets, all thanks to Shane Watson's 105
