A lot of people have given the new Silverstone track layout the big thumbs up. Casey Stoner & Loris Capirossi are among those that have said they like the new track, Capirossi went on to say that it is already one of his favourite circuits too.
And even Murray Walker likes it too, he loves a bit of bike racing himself

Lorenzo is on pole ahead of the weekend's big suprise, Randy de Puniet in a privateer Honda.
Pedrosa suffered a huge crash at the end of the session and required medical attention for whats been reported as bruised knees and might not race as a result, if he does, he'll start 3rd, if not then there will only be 15 riders on the grid

From what I remember, it was a really good weekend, with 3 good races yesterday.
Scott did really well to geth 4th. Bradley did well, but may be a tad disapointed. Spies did really well and has already showed he's a lot better than Toseland.
Got told that Stoner's poor form is due to his missus cheating on him, but they're still trying to work it out. (alledgedly)

It was frightening as to how easily Lorenzo managed to win that, Stoner and Pedrosa better get a move on otherwise the title fight could turn into a precession.
Just like that Moto2 race today where Iannone won by miles, Scott Redding got a good finish though in 11th in that same Moto2 race, also Bradley Smith was 4th and Danny Webb a superb 7th in the 125's

It already is - Stoner hasn't got the Duke working correctly, and isnt performing himself which means Lorenzo will walk it every time. Dani is good, but not good enough and nowhere the likes of Rossi, Casey or Lorenzo - Hayden's doing well on the Duke but it's gonna take time. The race today was dull for the second half and it's looking like being that way for the rest of the season, sadly. The best battles are down the order and often aren't broadcast with the main telly fun coming from the odd battle for 2nd/3rd.

photobucket is your best bet mate, either that or if your pics are on facebook, just right click and select copy image location from firefox, paste it to the post and just type [img][/img] on each end.

Have to agree, I though differently when Pedrosa beat Lorenzo off the line, only to fuck it all up by running wide at the first corner.
Yes Doviziozo got past Lorenzo but once the latter got back ahead, it was another precession. Even if Rossi comes back in Germany, I cant see the next 3 or 4 races panning out in any way other than a Lorenzo winning streak.
Its actually more fun watching the other classes, the 125 race was exciting with Bradley Smith taking a brilliant 2nd beating Espargaro on the line also Webb had another good day in 10th. And despite that finIsh line crash, the Moto2 race was good as well.

Good to see Stoner find a bit of pace, hopefully he can compete from now on and make the races better, even though the Championship is over.
Bit of a farce with the test drivers coming in when they're so far off the pace. Makes a mockery of the sport. When I as at Silverstone I got told by a few people who had paddock passes that Toseland was really up for dropping out of the Superbikes and was really pissed off that he wasn't asked.

It's pointless - the crew were even saying before the race that all they wanted was a finish, because "he's never ridden race distance before". I mean, christ, talk about a waste of a superbike spot. Still, if Vale is expected back in Germany maybe they didn't want to pay a shitload to Toseland.

There are plenty of worthy riders in Moto2 I can think of that would have killed for those seats and would have given their all.
Elias, Ianonne, Tomizawa, de Angelis, Takahashi (who won well today), Luthi, I could go on.

Someone mentioned it yesterday on the btccpages forums, made me think Stoner had repeated his original statement.
The manufacturer teams (Yamaha, Repsol Honda, Ducati, Suzuki) I feel are more than capable of fielding 3 bikes each, they have spare bikes just sitting there in the garages so why not give them to promising Moto2 riders to race.

Spies to replace Rossi in the Fiat garage. That will probably mean Cal Crutchlow will replace him in the Tech Tois garage.
He then got pole and managed to finish second on a much slower bike - great result for him. Shows how shit Toseland was on the same bike
