Expect Man City to come in an topple anything Chelsea bid.
How can you pay £70m for a player who's that injury prone?

The wife's Dad supports Reading now after living down there for 15 years and goes to every game, she was on the phone to him last night and I asked her to ask him what he thought of Gylfi, he sounded pissed off we were interested and declared he was far too good for the Toon, to which I replied, definately far too good for Reading then?

Oh feck we are staying there next week, thats my tea getting tampered with.
Good that he values him highly though,
I was talking to a Coventry fan when we played them in February who was glad they had sold us Best, not a great indication of how well he was liked down there, although sour grapes may have contributed towards this.Adam and Fox would be canny purchases I reckon also
The two Cov fans that I work with were ecstatic when they sold him to us and they miss no opportunity to remind me of their great bit of business. And they are right. He is fecking gash.

1022: Manchester City midfielder Stephen Ireland has met with the club's football administration officer, Brian Marwood, to discuss the possibility of being allowed to leave Eastlands this summer, with Manchester United keen on the £12m-rated 23-year-old.
If there is any truth in it, it would be a great signing for Man Utd, i am a bit surprised Man City are even considering letting him go.

Jason Roberts is a good player!
The problem is Big Sam's insistance on playing with a single striker.
With two up front Roberts would fill the same role as Heskey does for England, using his strength and power to hold up the ball and laying off it for his strike partner.
He'd be a great asset for any team playing 4-4-2 but Sam has the strange idea that this system is out of date - much to the frustration of the fans!

I dont think Beckford is particularly better than anything we currently have. Add to that the fact he had the chance to sign in January and apparently didnt fancy it then im happy to steer well clear of an unproven player who has a reputation for having an attitude problem.
Really hope Vuckic stays and gets a chance. It was said he'd been offered £70,000, which he'd turned down as he wanted to be in the £100,000 club. Don't know what he's been sniffing, but if the £70,000 figure is true, he should snap their hands off because it's far more than he's worth.

Anyway, I didn't bother reading about it, but he'd probably be exactly the same kind of deal as Duff, which is something NUFC of yesterday did, and not the team of today, so he's out.
