The league season is nearly over, what have been your favourite moments so far?
Mine include our unbeaten home run, Forest's promotion push imploding away from home, the mackems going on a 14 game winless run, Liverpool imploding on and off the pitch, Maradona's manic slide on the pitch.
Post your favourite moments here

From a Newcastle stand point, the memory that sticks in my mind is early on in the opening game of the season at West Brom when Alan Smith started to chase down a ball that he never looked like getting and refusing to give it up, bursting a gut to get there and put in a great sliding challenge. Just thought it set the tone for the season right from the off.

Totally agree

Mind, I can't help but think that some of those that laughed at our relegation last season are now welcoming us back to the Premiership with open arms. I've lost count of the number of rival fans who have said they are pleased to see us back up there. Lip service perhaps?

Twatting Cardiff at SJP was a turning point for me.....good football against a challenger, with 5 new players making their home debuts....apart from Derby we didnt really look back after that.

Just generally looking forward to going to games again was one of the main things for me this season.
Will watch the team through thick and thin but its always nicer actually wanting to go and expecting a performance rather than expecting to get twatted.

That is my point. Every year it is the same four and now it isn't. Could be the biggest change in English footy for quite a few years.

Seeing as Bolton is one of those that relies on clubs like Newcastle to prop up its miserable average attendance (and therefore revenue), I would have thought the fixture list wasn't quite so sweet as you think.

Oh I agree these clubs spending millions are not good for the game mate I think thats clear to see but at the minute its allowed to happen and whilst it does its just nice to see hopefully someone else in the Champions league not just the likes of Liverpool content to finish 4th and get in every season.
Shakes it all up a bit and keeps it interesting.

In an ideal world.....
The Glazers would put Man U into administration as they struggle to cope with their debt.
Abramovic would get bored with football and fuck off back to Russia taking his Rubles with him.
Liverpool continue on their downward trajectory and "do a Leeds".
Wenger would leave Arsenal and they would become no more than a mid-table club (they could take our sleeping giant tag).
Newcastle would rise from the ashes like a phoenix - sweeping all before them

Jose's goal against Forest hands down moment of the 09/10 season for me
That was the moment we really new we were going up. The crowd reaction and player reaction just showed how appreciated he is now, and rightfully so.
The fact it was sealed by Jose, our best player with his first goal for the club, after copping so much stick, even from Newcastle fans and in truth many people on this board, to turn into the cult hero he has just brought the biggest smile to my face.
As someone who defended him since he arrived here and saw his potential and to see it realised, that has made my season.
He will shine in the Premier League next season.
