Of course avoiding relegation is the priority, but a good cup run, far from being a distraction, gives the team momentum and raises morale which can only help the Premiership campaign.

Totally agree mate. Staying up is vital but a good cup is quality. Ill be going tomorrow. New ground. Should be canny. Just hope it dont rain as theres nee roof

With Jonas being at the WC over the summer and not having much of a pre-season, I think it's best to rest him for these games.
Hughton made it sound like Sol wouldn't even be ready for the Wolves game last week, so I doubt he'd be ready for this, but would be good to see him on the bench and then get a 10/15 min run out.
Don't think Tiote's WP has come through yet, so I doubt he'd be in the squad.
I'm not arsed about Ranger. Would rather see Lovelypants play.

If he could, I think Hughton would change all XI, though we'll have to keep at least one CB in because of injury. Think the likes of Jonas, Jose, Barton and Carroll will be kept out entirely, with the likes of Lovenkrands, Ameobi, Smith, etc. making up the bench.
